The Spruce Initiative is a daily walk practice aimed at cleaning up the planet one piece of rubbish, one day at a time and effecting positive change.  You too can make a difference to the environment.  Every day when you are out on your daily walk pick up just one piece of rubbish and dispose of it appropriately.  And every year give something to the Earth by planting a tree.  One small action when multiplied by 365 days in a year and/or many people can make a sustainable positive change over time.  Every positive action helps move us towards a sustainable future and a clean, healthy and beautiful environment.
 

Please note we recommend that you wash your hands thoroughly after picking up rubbish and keep some hand sanitiser in your pocket.  You may also wish to keep a pair gloves handy.  Only pick up masks if you are wearing gloves.
